  <title><![CDATA[Econ Students Excel at IAC Grad Paper Conference ]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>The School of Economics had a strong presence at this year&rsquo;s <a href="https://www.iac.gatech.edu/news-events/events/2020/1/ivan-allen-college-cridc-graduate-paper-conference/629894">Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts CRIDC Graduate Student Paper Conference</a> held at Georgia Tech on January 31, 2020.&nbsp; Of the twenty-eight graduate students who presented papers and/or chaired the six sessions at the conference, three students from the School of Economics presented their papers and one student chaired a session.</p>

<p>Tony Harding (advisor: Juan Moreno Cruz) presented his paper, &ldquo;From Weather Fluctuations to Aggregate Climate Impacts&rdquo;, Archana Ghodeshwar (advisor: Matt Oliver) presented her paper, titled, &ldquo;The Economics of Industrial Ecology: Evidence of First-Order Effects from the Indian Electric Power Sector&rdquo;, and Xiaoyu Dong (advisor: Shatakshee Dhongde) presented her paper, &ldquo;Measuring Multidimensional Poverty: An Application to the United States&rdquo; at the conference. In addition to the paper presenters, Vikrant Kamble, who is a member of the IAC Graduate Student Advisory Board chaired a session.&nbsp;</p>
