The exhibit gave faculty and staff the opportunity to showcase their creative side through a personal representation that is separate from their identity at Georgia Tech.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EFollowing the theme of \u0026ldquo;Welcome Home,\u0026rdquo; participating artists submitted works of various forms such as photography, paintings, and multi-media pieces. Each work demonstrated the artists\u0026rsquo; understanding of welcoming and inclusivity as well as the artists\u0026rsquo; interpretation of home as a physical space or state of mind.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAmong the faculty artists was Dr. Diley Hernandez, Senior Research Scientist at Georgia Tech\u0026rsquo;s Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC). Diley submitted a painting to visually represent her interpretation of \u0026ldquo;Welcome Home\u0026rdquo; titled \u0026ldquo;Sunflowers,\u0026rdquo; which was included in the exhibit and presented at the artists\u0026rsquo; reception on Thursday, February 20th.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;I think it is incredibly important for GeorgiaTech to encourage artists in our community to share our creative work and establish an outlet for artistic expression.
