And I know you understand this better than most because of your naval background, but in the Cold War we almost took-- we fought to maintain the lines of contact with the East Coast of America and Europe.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EDuring the post-Cold War days, we have all but stopped worrying about fighting our way across the Atlantic. In fact, we assume safe passage across the Atlantic. And that\u0026#39;s not the case anymore. And so Russia enjoys that ability to rapidly bring forces together. And if you\u0026#39;ve ever looked at Moscow and the spider network of roads and railroads from there, you understand how quickly they can do this. And then you have to look at what NATO has to do to respond.
