Stulberg said that\u0026nbsp;these new certificates\u0026nbsp;offer \u0026ldquo;flexible options both for students of international affairs who seek to deepen their knowledge in critical areas of global development and international security, as well as for working professionals, scientists, and engineers in search of broader comparative and strategic perspectives.\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe Global Development Certificate is a 12-credit hour multidisciplinary degree offered in conjunction with the School of Economics and School of City and Regional Planning. Students will take courses that cover key concepts, cases and methods in the field of global development. The degree will culminate in a capstone course that will provide students with practical experience tackling real-world problems in the field.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe certificate in International Security and Aerospace Systems is a 12-credit hour interdisciplinary degree, offered by the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs and Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering. The certificate will provide technical knowledge and holistic understanding of aerospace systems at the intersection of a range of international security issues\u0026nbsp;including coercive statecraft, arms races, decision-making, crisis management, and arms control\/regulation. Special attention will be placed on understanding trade-spaces between design, strategic, and international policy dimensions to a variety of emerging technologies.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe two new certificates are an addition to the already established Astrobiology Graduate Certificate offered by the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering, and Sam Nunn School of International Affairs. The program intends to forge links between science, engineering, and policy to understand the origin, evolution, and possible distribution of life in the universe.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThese stand alone graduate certificates are part of a growing list of programs offered through the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs.
