{"636584":{"#nid":"636584","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Institute Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Welcomes Nominations for 2020 Leading Women@Tech Program","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/diversity.gatech.edu\u0022\u003EInstitute Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion\u003C\/a\u003E (IDEI) is now seeking nominations for the fifth cohort of the\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/diversity.gatech.edu\/leadingwomenattech\u0022\u003ELeading Women@Tech\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;program.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EWith support from the Office of the President, IDEI launched the\u0026nbsp;Leading Women@Tech program in 2016\u0026nbsp;to facilitate women\u0026rsquo;s professional development and academic and administrative leadership, and to build a community of leaders across the Institute who will advance a culture of inclusive excellence.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EPearl Alexander, executive director of diversity, inclusion, and engagement, and program\u0026nbsp;director said, \u0026ldquo;This cohort will partake in a revised virtual and truncated development experience with women managers at a few different levels. The 2020 cohort will also be larger, to include up to 30 women.\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThis year\u0026rsquo;s formal program will run September through December and close with a community conversation next January.\u0026nbsp;An emphasis will be placed on networking and engagement of the entire Leading Women@Tech community during the spring semester.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;The curriculum is streamlined to integrate storytelling, self-efficacy principles, emotional intelligence, contemplative practices, and race dialogue,\u0026rdquo; added Alexander. \u0026ldquo;These are foundational skills to lead through unprecedented uncertainty and will serve leaders by increasing self-awareness, resilience, and effectiveness in a multicultural environment.\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ETo submit a nomination, including a self-nomination, visit\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/diversity.gatech.edu\/leading-womentech-nomination-form\u0022\u003Ehere\u003C\/a\u003E.
