  <title><![CDATA[Dean Husbands Fealing Announces Search Committee for Next Chair of Public Policy]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts Dean Kaye Husbands Fealing has announced that an <a href="https://www.iac.gatech.edu/about/public-policy-chair-search">international search</a> for the next chair of School of Public Policy will be launched in fall 2020.</p>

<p>Richard Utz, chair and professor in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication, will chair the search.</p>

<p>The search committee will provide opportunities for faculty, staff, and students to engage throughout the process. More details about the process will be announced throughout the Fall semester. It is anticipated that the next chair and will start no later than Fall 2021.</p>

<p>Marilyn Brown, Regents and Brook Byers Professor of Sustainable Systems, will continue to serve as interim chair of the School of Public Policy until the position is filled.</p>

<p>Dean Husbands Fealing announced the search committee whose members, she said, &ldquo;have committed to thoughtfully contributing to the search process.&rdquo; They are:</p>

<p><strong>Annie Anton,</strong> Professor, School of Interactive Computing</p>

<p><strong>Justin Biddle,</strong> Associate Professor, School of Public Policy</p>

<p><strong>Lindsey Bullinger,</strong> Assistant Professor, School of Public Policy</p>

<p><strong>Brad Fain,</strong> Executive Director and Principal Research Scientist, Center for Advanced Communications Policy</p>

<p><strong>Karl Grindal,</strong> PhD Student and President, Public Policy Graduate Student Association&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Usha Nair-Reichert,</strong> Professor, School of Economics</p>

<p><strong>Juan Rogers,</strong> Professor, School of Public Policy</p>

<p><strong>Leslie Ross,</strong> Academic Program Manager, School of Public Policy</p>

<p><strong>Matt Ryan,</strong> Associate Vice President, Office of Development</p>

<p><strong>Chad Slieper,</strong> Academic Professional and Director of the Law, Science, and Technology Program, School of Public Policy</p>

<p><strong>Kyle Smith,</strong> Undergraduate Student and Executive Vice President, Georgia Tech Student Government Association</p>

<p><strong>Richard Utz,</strong> Chair and Professor, School of Literature, Media, and Communication</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Will Jimerson, Director of Human Resources, will serve as administrative coordinator for the search process until the executive assistant to the dean position is filled.</p>
