Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, Wu delivered the lectures virtually.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EWu has received numerous prestigious awards for his eminent research in the theory and application of statistics, but 2020 has been a particularly notable year for him. In addition to the Fields Institute lectures, he has also been honored with the\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/news.gatech.edu\/2020\/05\/12\/wu-honored-class-1934-distinguished-professor-award\u0022\u003EGeorgia Tech Class of 1934 Distinguished Professor Award\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u0026ndash; the Institute\u0026rsquo;s highest faculty honor \u0026ndash; and the\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.isye.gatech.edu\/news\/jeff-wu-receives-sigma-xis-monie-ferst-award\u0022\u003ESigma Xi Monie A.
