Chandler\u0026nbsp;will lead\u0026nbsp;OMED\u0026rsquo;s tutoring and academic support services, including coordination of the academic component of OMED\u0026#39;s signature summer program Challenge.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cdiv\u003E\r\n\u003Cp\u003EChandler has worked in HBCU STEM education for over the past 10 years, amassing vast experience in various areas of student academic success, including academic advising, student retention initiatives, STEM programming and instruction for undergraduates, and STEM social justice K-12 summer enrichment activities.\u0026nbsp;She is experienced in grant research and writing, and has secured funding and support for student research, training, and scholarships through those efforts from The Verizon Foundation, NNSA, Chevron, Lockheed Martin, and Microsoft.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EPrior to joining OMED, she\u0026nbsp;served multiple\u0026nbsp;and simultaneous\u0026nbsp;roles at Clark Atlanta University as program manager for its\u0026nbsp;dual degree Engineering Program as well as principal investigator\/ director for the Verizon Innovative Learning Program\u0026nbsp;for Minority Middle School Males. In this capacity, Chandler has worked hand-in-hand with the Verizon Foundation, The National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship, and the Arizona State University Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute in creating and implementing programs and initiatives for middle school minority males in Atlanta and surrounding areas.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EShe has also served\u0026nbsp;as first-year seminar professor for incoming freshmen in dual degree Engineering, Biology, Political Science and General Studies, and as the AUC Chapter advisor (Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse, and Spelman) for the National Society of Black Engineers.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EChandler\u0026#39;s true passion is working with students and creating pathways to not just succeed but to thrive in their chosen field of study.
