The group included Olivia Kiklica, Jessica Taetle, Josie Benner, and Edeliz Zuleta. Kiklica and Taetle are computational media majors, and Benner and Zuleta are both majoring in biomedical engineering with a minor in science fiction studies. Lisa Yaszek, Regents Professor of Science Fiction Studies in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication, moderated the panel.

During the panel, the group discussed their experience doing primary reading and research for Yaszek's forthcoming book, The Future is Female 2: The 1970s. Topics covered in their conversation included how they became interested in feminist science fiction, the challenges and rewards of archival research, and how feminist hopes and dreams have—or have not—evolved in the past half-century.
