  <body><![CDATA[<p>Scheller Lunchtime Live is a livestream series hosted by the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business featuring faculty, student, and alumni speakers discussing relevant topics for the tech-driven, digital age.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In this talk, Professor Marius Florin Niculescu, who specializes in economics of information systems and digital platforms, will discuss approaches to innovation crowdsourcing for delivering better business results and the role digital platforms play in the crowdsourcing process. During his presentation, he will also provide examples of successful industry initiatives including the Salesforce IdeaExchange.</p>

<p><strong>About Marius Florin Niculescu</strong></p>

<p>Dr.&nbsp;Marius Florin Niculescu joined the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business after completing his Ph.D. in operations information and technology at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.&nbsp;His research focuses on the economics of information systems, IT security, software freemium and seeding business models, network economics, management and diffusion of IT products and services, and open platform innovation, among other technology-based subjects. His research has been published in <em>Management Science</em>, <em>Information Systems Research</em>, and <em>Management Information Systems Quarterly</em>, and has been presented at numerous conferences in the field and research seminars at peer universities.</p>

<p>Dr. Niculescu received the <em>Brady Family Award</em> <em>for Faculty Teaching Excellence, </em>Linda and Lloyd L. Byars Award for Faculty Excellence, and the&nbsp;<em>Brady Family Award</em> <em>for Faculty Research Excellence</em>. He also received the <em>ISS Sandra A. Slaughter</em> <em>Early Career Award</em> and was one of <em>Poets&amp;Quants&rsquo; 2019 Best 40 Under 40 Professors. </em></p>

<p>He also received the&nbsp;<em>Full-time MBA Core Professor of the Year Award</em>&nbsp;for three years in a row, the <em>Evening MBA Core Professor of the Year Award,</em> and the&nbsp;<em>CETL/BP America Junior Faculty Teaching Award</em>&nbsp;at Georgia Tech.</p>

<p>Dr. Niculescu is the academic director for the Executive Education Technology Development Program for the Bank of America and a faculty council member on the Information Security and Privacy Interdisciplinary Research Institute at Georgia Tech.</p>
