{"659046":{"#nid":"659046","#data":{"type":"event","title":"2022 Teaching with Technology Summer Institute: Practicing Mindfulness in Teaching with Technology","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EAre you feeling burned out from trying to use every new educational technology released in the last few years?\u0026nbsp; Does seeing all of those new tools in your Canvas course fill you with a sense of dread?\u0026nbsp; Do you long for those days when teaching with technology felt fun and exciting, but now it just feels overwhelming?\u0026nbsp;\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\nIf you said yes to any of the above, then the 2022 Teaching with Technology Summer Institute is for you!\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\nThe Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) invites you to participate in its 2022 Teaching with Technology\u0026nbsp;Summer Institute on the theme of\u003Cstrong\u003E \u0026ldquo;Practicing Mindfulness in Teaching with Technology\u0026rdquo;. \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003EThis year\u0026rsquo;s Summer Institute will be held on \u003Cstrong\u003EJune 27th-30th\u003C\/strong\u003E, from 9 am-Noon (with breaks) and will be presented \u003Cstrong\u003Evirtually via Zoom.\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\nDuring the 4-day institute, we will\u0026nbsp;explore\u0026nbsp;a pedagogical approach to the intentional and mindful integration of technologies\u0026nbsp;into curriculum that supports effective teaching and enhances student\u0026nbsp;learning. You will work with learning technology specialists from CTL and various experts from across campus (including representatives from OIT\u0026rsquo;s DTL, GTPE, and C21U) as well as peers across disciplines. \u0026nbsp;Together, we will investigate ways of mindfully integrating new technologies into your courses.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n\u003Cstrong\u003EWhat can I expect?\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\nThe institute will consist of a mix of small and large-group\u0026nbsp;sessions as well\u0026nbsp;as individual work time.
