  <body><![CDATA[<p>Please join the WST Learning Community for a virtual talk on Monday, 11/28/22, at 6pm, by&nbsp;Dr. May Wang, who is Professor, Wallace H. Coulter School of Biomedical Engineering of Georgia Tech and Emory. She is also a&nbsp;Distinguished Faculty Fellow, a Kavli Fellow, and a GCC Distinguished Cancer Scholar.</p>

<p>WST Lrn C residents can pick up meals in Stein at 5pm that day. A Zoom link for the 6pm meeting will be sent to the residents. Any other Georgia Tech Community member interested in attending should email carol.colatrella@lmc.gatech.edu for the Zoom link.</p>

<p>From https://www.bme.gatech.edu/bme/news/wang-named-ieee-fellow: Dr.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bme.gatech.edu/bme/faculty/May-Dongmei-Wang">May Dongmei Wang</a>&nbsp;comes from a family of scientists and engineers, so she has long known the prestige and hard work signified by fellowship in IEEE. That makes her elevation to the professional organization&rsquo;s&nbsp;<a href="https://www.ieee.org/membership/fellows/index.html">Grade of Fellow in 2022</a>&nbsp;the fulfillment of a lifelong aspiration.</p>

<p>From&nbsp;https://miblab.bme.gatech.edu/: The Bio-MIBLab partners with two computing industry giants, Hewlett Packard and Microsoft Research, to establish not only a strong computing infrastructure, but also to fulfill long term goals through research collaborations.</p>

<p>The Bio-MIBLab is also part of the Winship Institute and ACTSI at Emory University. Together, with multiple committed translational researchers in cancer, neuromedicine, and molecular and genetic biology, the Bio-MIBLab has been able to tackle translational problems such as renal cancer, prostate cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, schizophrenia, and fundamental problems in molecular and genetic biology.</p>

<p>Other research sponsors include: NIH, NSF, Children&rsquo;s Healthcare of Atlanta, CDC, Atlanta Clinical &amp; Translational Science Institute (ACTSI), Georgia Cancer Coalition, Georgia Research Alliance, IBB, and Johnson &amp; Johnson.</p>
