But, so far, they\u0026rsquo;re not great at keeping people from falling.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EHuman balance is a complicated dance, and even the most advanced robots and wearables like robotic exoskeletons have trouble replicating how our brains and bodies work together to keep us upright. A new study from researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University is taking the first step toward addressing the balance problem.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1126\/scirobotics.adf1080\u0022\u003EIn a paper published Feb. 15 in \u003Cem\u003EScience Robotics\u003C\/em\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E, the group showed an ankle exoskeleton must react faster than our bodies to improve balance.
