The \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/seed.nih.gov\/small-business-funding\/small-business-program-basics\/understanding-sbir-sttr\u0022\u003ENIH SBIR\/STTR grants\u003C\/a\u003E provide non-dilutive funding to small businesses with high-impact biomedical technologies ranging from research tools, diagnostics, digital health, drugs, medical devices, and others. During this workshop, attendees will learn how to leverage SBIR\/STTR grants and other diverse programs for researchers and academic entrepreneurs. Participants will hear from small business staff from multiple institutes at NIH, including the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.nia.nih.gov\/research\/sbir\u0022\u003ENational Institute on Aging (NIA)\u003C\/a\u003E, the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.nhlbi.nih.gov\/grants-and-training\/funding-opportunities-and-contacts\/small-business-program\u0022\u003ENational Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI)\u003C\/a\u003E, and the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/sbir.cancer.gov\/\u0022\u003ENational Cancer Institute (NCI)\u003C\/a\u003E, about how to use non-dilutive SBIR\/STTR funding and resources to help advance their companies and commercialize promising technologies. Participants will also learn of new entrepreneurial development initiatives designed to further support small business grantees and to diversify the biomedical entrepreneurial ecosystem including the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/seed.nih.gov\/small-business-funding\/aap\u0022\u003EApplicant Assistance Program\u003C\/a\u003E, the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.nia.nih.gov\/research\/sbir\/startup-challenge\u0022\u003E2023 NIA Start-Up Challenge and Accelerator: Fostering Entrepreneurial Diversity\u003C\/a\u003E, and the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/sbir.cancer.gov\/small-business-funding\/grants\/small-business-transition\u0022\u003ESmall Business Transition Grant\u003C\/a\u003E.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAdditionally, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss their project and eligibility with NIH program staff.
