667860 news 1684872620 1685125444 <![CDATA[Georgia Tech Receives Award for Excellence in Financial Reporting ]]> The Department of Audits & Accounts (DOAA) presented Georgia Tech with the Award of Distinction for Excellent Financial Reporting for Fiscal Year 2022.  

This is the 9th time Georgia Tech has received this award since 2014.    

The DOAA grants this award to colleges and universities that excel in accounting principles such as, Quality and Timeliness of Financial Statements and Supporting Documentation, Compliance with Transparency in Government Act Requirements, Quality of Audit Documentation and more. 

“This achievement is a true team effort - from campus financial units to the central business offices” said Institute Controller Amy Herron. “I appreciate all of the contributions to the Fiscal Year 2022 close-out, financial reporting, and audit preparation.”  

The announcement of this award reaffirms Georgia Tech’s commitment to the Administrative Excellence Initiative, which focuses on customer satisfaction, data-informed decisions, administrative staff benefits, and efficient and effective processes.
