Nominations for awards are open through Friday, July 14. This year's awards will be awarded at the 2023 Diversity Symposium, taking place Wednesday, September 20 at the Georgia Tech Global Learning Center.

The awards will honor one faculty member, one staff member, one student, and one campus unit that have exemplified the principles of diversity and equity and worked to advance a culture of inclusion and belonging in the Georgia Tech community. In keeping with our DEI Strategic Plan, the Institute seeks to promote inclusive excellence and celebrate those who have made significant contributions in their respective areas.

To be considered for the 2023 Diversity Champion Awards, recipients must have demonstrated exceptional dedication and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion within the past three years. The following criteria will be used to evaluate the nominees:

1. Commitment to research and/or activities that engage and challenge racism and expand diversity, equity, and inclusion at Tech
2. Leadership in building a culture of inclusion and belonging among all members of the Institute community
3. Scholarship or work that advances a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusive excellence at Georgia Tech
4. Organized, conducted, and/or supported programs, events, and activities that promote an understanding of different cultures, and create an environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging at Tech

Nominations for deserving recipients are now open and due no later than Friday, July 14.
