<p><span lang="EN-US"><span>The Fulton Bag and Cotton Mill</span><span>, </span><span>established</span><span> in 1881,</span><span> holds a significant place in Georgia's industrial history and played a pivotal role in the state's economic growth. </span><span>T</span><span>his iconic mill became a major contributor to the development of Atlanta's textile industry and was instrumental in shaping the city's landscape</span><span> – particularly the area known as </span><span>Cabbagetown</span><span>.</span><span> The mill is also closely tied to the growth of Georgia Tech</span><span>’s </span><span>textile engineering department, now known as the School of Materials Science and Enginee</span><span>ring</span><span>.&nbsp;</span></span><span>&nbsp;</span></p>
