The tradition of the race dates back 112 years when, in 1911, it started as an open cross country race for students. Over the years the race has transitioned from a cross country team try out into a fun, great way to kick off the Homecoming game day. The race is open to all\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003Efirst year\u003C\/strong\u003E\u0026nbsp;Georgia Tech students who are encouraged to run, jog or walk the course.
