The first goal is to develop low noise organic photodiodes (OPDs) which can mimic both the angular and spectral sensitivities of different photoreceptor cells in human retina. This will be achieved by integrating low noise broadband organic photodiodes with color filtering electrodes based on thin-film optical filters consisting of alternating metal and dielectric layers. With optimized filter structures, the spectral responsivity of resulted wavelength selective OPDs can match to the photopic, scotopic and melanopic response of human eyes respectively with small departures. Over 50% of the spectral matching can still be maintained within a wide field-of-view of \u00b160\u00b0, which is wide enough to cover the horizontal binocular vision and the vertical central vision of human eyes. This work can be potentially applied in artificial vision and the implementation of human centric lighting. The second half of this research is to extend our understandings on wavelength selective OPDs into narrowband perovskite photodiodes (PPDs), the goal is to develop high performance narrowband PPDs with a full-width-half-maximum (FWHM) of a few tens of nanometers. This will be achieved by combining the compositional variation of mix-cation mix-halide perovskites and color filtering electrodes if needed. This work can be potentially used in spectrometers and hyperspectral imaging.\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n","format":"limited_html"}],"field_summary_sentence":[{"value":"High Performance Wavelength Selective Organic Photodiodes"}],"uid":"28475","created_gmt":"2023-08-01 15:34:21","changed_gmt":"2023-08-01 15:36:50","author":"Daniela Staiculescu","boilerplate_text":"","field_publication":"","field_article_url":"","field_event_time":{"event_time_start":"2023-08-02T14:00:00-04:00","event_time_end":"2023-08-02T16:00:00-04:00","event_time_end_last":"2023-08-02T16:00:00-04:00","gmt_time_start":"2023-08-02 18:00:00","gmt_time_end":"2023-08-02 20:00:00","gmt_time_end_last":"2023-08-02 20:00:00","rrule":null,"timezone":"America\/New_York"},"location":"Room W218, Van Leer","extras":[],"related_links":[{"url":"https:\/\/gatech.zoom.us\/j\/9645657554?pwd=c2ttNzIzZWo0MWI0WGVUTmlRTG5lQT09","title":"Zoom link"}],"groups":[{"id":"434371","name":"ECE Ph.D. Proposal Oral Exams"}],"categories":[],"keywords":[{"id":"102851","name":"Phd proposal"},{"id":"1808","name":"graduate students"}],"core_research_areas":[],"news_room_topics":[],"event_categories":[{"id":"1788","name":"Other\/Miscellaneous"}],"invited_audience":[{"id":"78771","name":"Public"}],"affiliations":[],"classification":[],"areas_of_expertise":[],"news_and_recent_appearances":[],"phone":[],"contact":[],"email":[],"slides":[],"orientation":[],"userdata":""}}}
