<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>The Advanced Rehabilitation Research Training: Inclusive Technology and Policy Design Research Fellowships (ARRT) Project is currently accepting applications for ARRT Postdoctoral Fellows Program, with an expected start during Spring/Summer, 2023, depending on candidate availability. ARRT Fellows are expected to have earned their doctorate degree (Ph.D. Psy.D. J.D., or terminal degree equivalent) in a relevant field (e.g., rehabilitation engineering or engineering/computer science with research focus on accessibility, disability studies, law, or policy). Fellows will be trained through a combination of classroom, hybrid-format, and formal instruction, didactic training and membership, independent and collaborative research, and research practicums and residencies.</span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

<p>The Research Technologist (Open Rank) directly supports the Center for Advanced Communications Policy (CACP) by providing primary information technology (IT) support to both faculty and staff members and research technologist support to the variety of research projects and initiatives within CACP. The Research Technologist will interface directly with the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts (IAC) enterprise IT group to ensure that CACP equipment and operations are in compliance with GT IT policies. The Research Technologist will provide general helpdesk support, the provisioning of new computer equipment, and inventory tracking. The Research Technologist will directly support CACP lab operations, data collection, equipment configuration and deployment, and maintenance of existing specialized research equipment. CACP participates in human performance research, home automation studies, Internet of Things (IoT) research and data collection, and rapid prototyping of innovative technologies. The Research Technologist should have a general familiarity with technology, electronic component assembly, basic programming/scripting, basic web development, and technologies associated with rapid prototyping.</p>

Drawing on focused, empirically based research, we develop social, economic and policy-oriented perspectives on digital technologies at the intersection of society, inclusion and policy that address a range of stakeholder needs.</span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>Our research provides the foundation for the assessment and analysis of issues that inform our contribution to public sector policy: federal rulemaking, and input into the regulatory and policy-making process. This applied research orientation also supports our work in&nbsp;applied and industry-centric research and assessment.</span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>Work in this area includes usability and human factors assessment, use of technology to facilitate independence for older adults, accessible and inclusive technology designed for people with functional limitations; enhanced, accessible, emergency communications that affect people with disabilities, the general public, as well as first responders and other stakeholders.
