      <value><![CDATA[<p><span><span>The objective of the proposed research is to build a state of the art fully integrated radiometer at 220-240GHz. This will be the first solution using a fully integrated SiGe process on a single die at this frequency band. The radiometric receiver will consist of a downconverting receiver with the following proposed architecture. The preliminary research completed in the design of the LNA will serve as the front end of the receiver followed by a downconversion mixer to bring the noise power received into an IF frequency of 20-40GHz. This information will then be channelized into four 5GHz channels for data conversion and analysis for interferometry. A VCO and multiplier chain will be designed to provide the LO for the downconversion stage completing the receiver system.</span></span></p>
