He studied literature and philosophy at the \u00c9cole des Hautes \u00c9tudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris. Sarr is the author of four novels as well as a number of award-winning short stories. In 2021, Sarr became the first Senegalese author to win France\u0027s prestigious 2021 Prix Goncourt for his book, \u003Cem\u003ELa Plus secr\u00e8te m\u00e9moire des hommes (The Most Secret Memory of Men)\u003C\/em\u003E. Copies of the author\u2019s new book \u003Cem\u003EThe Most Secret Memory of Men\u003C\/em\u003E, translated by Lara Vergnaud and published by Other Press will be available for purchase at the event while supplies last.
