“The ASC’s IT Support Services A/V Team's dedication, expertise, and commitment to excellence are the driving force behind the success of these BOR meetings,” said Richard Sargent, senior director for IT Support Services. “Their efforts enable the collaboration, engagement, and meaningful discussions necessary among the USG institutions.  

Historically, the USG host institution would provide the information technology (IT) and A/V support for the BOR meeting. However, in 2021, a partnership formed between the BOR and Georgia Tech which solidified Georgia Tech’s A/V team as the primary technology support provider for future BOR meetings at USG institutions.  

A successful technical setup for an event of this magnitude hinges on close collaboration and coordination between the Georgia Tech A/V team and host institution’s IT teams and event organizers to reduce the risk of technical “hiccups” during the meeting.
