{"670742":{"#nid":"670742","#data":{"type":"event","title":"International Techmasters: Land the Professional \u0022Pitch\u0022 Main Event (In person)","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EAre you an international student looking to improve your communication skills and network effectively with employers in the United States?\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EJoin the Career Center in collaboration with the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/oie.gatech.edu\/\u0022\u003EOffice of International Education\u003C\/a\u003E and the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/esl.gatech.edu\/\u0022\u003ELanguage Institute\u003C\/a\u003E for our International \u0022Techmasters\u0022 series.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EIn this program, students will work alongside our team during a 3-session workshop series to prepare themselves to give a one-minute response to a designated prompt. Students will:\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E- Learn what a professional \u0022pitch\u0022 is or the famous \u0022Tell Me About Yourself\u0022 question asked by employers and why it is important\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E- Improve public speaking skills\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n- Build self-confidence and self-awareness, especially when networking in the U.S.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n- Work on networking in a small and supportive environment\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n- Present their one-minute response to staff, alumni, and employers\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EStudents participating must RSVP for at least one preparation session and are encouraged to attend the main event for a chance to network during dinner with staff, alumni, and employers and win prizes for participation in the \u0022pitch\u0022 presentation.
