{"68934":{"#nid":"68934","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Coca-Cola Foundation Grant Will Support Student Study Trips to China","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EA $200,000 gift\u0026nbsp;from the Coca Cola Foundation will enable 30 Georgia Tech students to study in China during the next four years. \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe grant will support a variety of study programs:\u0026nbsp; five scholarships of $10,000 each will support one-year deep immersion programs for students, five $6,000 scholarships will support students for semester immersion programs, and 20 students will receive $6,000 in support for faculty-led summer study programs.\u0026nbsp; The School of Modern Languages and the Office of International Education will announce student application procedures for\u0026nbsp;the programs this fall.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe grant was given in support of the national \u003Ca title=\u0022100,000 Strong Initiative\u0022 href=\u0022http:\/\/www.state.gov\/p\/eap\/regional\/100000_strong\/index.htm\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003E100,000 Strong Initiative\u003C\/a\u003E announced in 2009 by President Obama with the intention of strengthening and diversifying American student studies in China.
