The graphene growth can be controlled for monolayer, bilayer and multilayer structures. The graphene derivatives include graphene oxide, graphene oxide nanoribbons, graphene nanoribbons, edge functionalized graphene nanoribbons, and intercalated multilayer structures with precise real-time de-intercalation being observed.
