This\nexperiment is based on the question: Can we produce difference and particular\nidentity by using the default functions of the computer? This question\nengenders the dialectic between two competing and mostly mutually exclusive\nrealms;\u0026nbsp; of virtuality and embodiment. In\nusing a system of software and hardware, our intellectual and physical products\nare both facilitated and limited by the technology. Is it possible\u0026nbsp; to discover and exploit the limitations of\nthis system? Can we then produce objects and images that appear to be uniquely\nconceived and whose digital DNA is melded with our own?\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EAbout the artist\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/strong\u003EHarris Dimitropoulos has taught art, design, and theory\ncourses in Europe and in the United States. He is an associate professor in the\nSchool of Architecture at Georgia Tech, where he has taught for more than 25\nyears. Currently his creative interests explore issues of representation and\naesthetics, especially as they pertain to digital media. Dimitropoulos received\na Master of Architecture from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1984, a PhD\nfrom the Aristoteleion University in Thessaloniki, Greece, and a Bachelor of\nArchitecture N.T.U. in Athens, Greece. In addition to his architectural\neducation, he received formal art education from 1970 to 1983.
