The program has two goals: to support feasibility studies of innovative, transformative ideas in research and\/or education with significant emphasis on their transformative potential, and to facilitate planning for large extramural proposals. \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EGT-FIRE has two levels of funding:\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003EFund for transformative research and education ($40,000) \u2014 proposals due Jan. 9\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EPlanning funds to aid large extramural proposal preparation ($4,000) \u2014 no deadline\u003C\/li\u003E\u003C\/ul\u003E\u003Cp\u003EProposals should be submitted to \u003Ca href=\u0022mailto:research@carnegie.gatech.edu\u0022\u003Eresearch@carnegie.gatech.edu\u003C\/a\u003E.
