The main focus of this presentation will be on our efforts to link host-guest chemistry with the spin-crossover phenomenon. This family of Fe(II) complexes offers the possibility of using magnetometry\u00e2\u0080\u0022and in some cases, visible color changes\u00e2\u0080\u0022to report host-guest interactions in solution; it also provides an experimental platform for probing the influence of weak interactions on spin-crossover properties.
